What Are Growlers?

The Crow and Bear believes in growlers, those jugs with a lid that you csn fill with your choice of wine. All over Europe you'll see the locals riding in on their bicycles to get their jugs filled. We think this is such a good idea that we’ve gone double-up. Our extended tap system allows us to provide, on tap, every wine we have in bottles. Why is this a good thing? It means that you get a full liter of wine (1,000 ml) for the same price as a 750 ml bottle.
	It means that we save the price of the bottle, two labels, a cork, the foil, and the labor to put it all together. And it means that we’re reducing the load on the environment, because every empty bottle that gets thrown away goes in a landfill somewhere. Not only that, but the economy of the tap system means that we can offer free tastings, since there’s no open bottle to go bad at the end of the day.
